Ultimate Player Radio is a program which helps you listen to your favorite online radio stations.
Right from the start I loved the program's look. Easy to understand and practical, the program comes with a predefined data base containing online radio stations categorized into two separate sections, European and World. At the same time, you have the option to configure a personal list out of favorite stations gathered in My list category. Bringing a favorite radio to the list can be done in two ways - one is through the menu and Add station, and the second one, even more simple, consists in pressing the Insert key from the keyboard. Once the window opened, you should insert the link and fill in the name, country, quality, or genre. If you are not satisfied with the sound, the Equalizer helps you modify it exactly the way you want. However, I recommend checking the auto correct option within the Sound section for not having volume differences from one radio to another.
Another feature which is worth to be highlighted is the possibility to record the songs played on the radio. The conversion to MP3 or OGG is done automatically. You can also set automatic recording when the program opens. And for those who like to go to sleep with a radio playing silently in the background, the app provides the means to shut down the computer after a certain period of time, ranging from 1 to 180 minutes. In addition, if you get bored with the interface, you can easily change the skin, including the color within the selected skin. In this way, the interface is always pleasant.
I consider that the program should be tried, as it is free. Those who created this app managed to get close to the options needed for a good and functional program. However, I encountered some difficulties regarding the search function. You can search only using keywords. I would have liked the search criteria to include genre, country, or quality. Anyway, the program is still at beta stage, and I hope that this feature will be implemented in the future.
